The XI EQUALITAS Meeting was held at the Universidade de Vigo

The theme of the sessions focused on inequality, poverty, equal opportunities and public policies.

In this 11th edition of the EQUALITAS meetings, the analysis focused on intimate partner violence in Sub-Saharan Africa context, gender inequalities in the Spanish labor market, the growth of the middle class in the distribution of global income, changes in dynamic poverty in Europe in recent decades, school segregation in Europe, the effects of free school meals on the labor market, and methodological issues involving the measurement of equal opportunities and the  “scalarization” of variables.

A discussion was also held on the objectives, operation and future of the EQUALITAS network, as well as the role that the INEQOP coordinated project (financed by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación) should play within this network.
