In June 2025, EQUALITAS researchers Gustavo A. Marrero, Juan César Palomino and Dmitry Petrov, together with Clara Martínez-Toledano, launched the project “New Spain Wealth Atlas: Understanding Regional Wealth Inequality in Spain” in collaboration with the World Inequality Lab and EsadeEcPol.
EQUALITAS researcher Pedro Salas-Rojo and co-authors (Carlos J. Gil-Hernández, Guillem Vidal-Lorda and Davide Villani) have won the Aldi Hagenaars Memorial Award for their paper “Wealth inequality and stratification by social classes in 21st-century Europe.”
The workshop, organized by doctoral researchers from the Department of Economics at the University of Alcalá, aims to be a meeting space for early-career researchers in the Social Sciences.
The 10th EQUALITAS Workshop, held on 5 April 2024 in Girona, brought together 20 researchers to discuss key issues such as pre-school education, school canteens, minimum wage, child nutrition in developing economies, global inequality and non take-up.
EQUALITAS has launched its revamped website with a modern and intuitive design that improves accessibility and allows for more efficient navigation. The new platform offers regularly updated content and includes a news section to inform users about the latest developments in the network.
